When PACE Engineers celebrated their 25th Anniversary in 2017, they wanted to do something special to highlight their projects and represent their company culture in a very visual way. The employee-owned civil engineering consultant based in Kirkland provides civil/structural, planning, land surveying and GIS services to public and private clients throughout Washington, Oregon, and beyond.
As multiple office celebrations popped up on the calendar, Director of Business Development Karleen Belmont turned to United for assistance with dressing up their office environment. “We met with our wonderful salesperson, Teresa (Kornegay), and explained to her what we wanted to accomplish and she made recommendations.” Having previously provided reports, strategic plans and graphics assistance in the past, Teresa was highly familiar with the PACE portfolio and looked for ways to meet their needs with a variety of interior office design solutions.
Teresa notes, “First and foremost, consulting with Karleen gave me insight into what visuals needed to be represented, and then we walked the space together to talk about the best materials and images that would highlight this special milestone for the company. Every office space is unique, and we wanted to use options that would create the impact and longevity PACE was looking for. Not only were these pieces great for the anniversary celebrations, but they’re practical as everyday additions in the office. My job is to provide our customers with options that meets their goals, and produce a beautiful result that works with their budget, space and time constraints.”
Among the pieces produced, a wonderfully inspirational company mission sign direct printed to brushed metal greets all who pass by the front desk; as well as Core Values signs are prominently displayed in main hallways and break areas; a framed/employee-signed print celebrating 25 years; new brushed metal meeting room placards; overhead department identification signs; and a wide variety of project highlight photos were direct-printed to Falconboard for easy installation and flexibility for future updates. The result is an elegant, elevated look that transforms the office space into a showcase of the work and employee culture PACE actively cultivates.
Teresa commented, “Working with Karleen and PACE on this project was a wonderful experience. And the finished look is even better in person. We love it when we can drop by and visit our client to see how the final pieces look once they’re in place. And it provides us the opportunity to share the results with our great production crew back at the shop.”
United and PACE share similar outlooks on client service commitment, developing the quality of our working relationships and contributing to our local communities. Karleen expressed her thoughts on choosing United to assist on this project, as well as a variety of printing needs. “Great customer service is really important to me and United shines in this area. We find the online ordering system to be a big time saver.” She continues, “A locally-owned vendor is always a primary consideration for me, but I find it’s easier to partner with a printer that understands the A|E|C industry. United is active in our profession and supports a lot of professional organizations.”
