Project Manager at United print. signs. graphics.

Please help us welcome Megan Bohlin to the United print. signs. graphics. team! Megan has recently joined as at United after seven years in the print and sign industry most recently working with Speedpro Imaging and Trade-Marx Sign & Display. She draws from a broad range of hands-on experience in client/project management, prepress and on-site installation from her previous management roles specializing in production and design. Basically, she’s a force to be reckoned with.

Megan values versatility, critical thinking and a strong desire to see client projects through from concept to completion. She is a welcome and wonderful addition to our experienced team of print and sign industry professionals, and we’re excited to have her on board.

We sat down for a little Q&A to help you get to know Megan better.

Tell us a little about your background, and how long you’ve been in the print and sign business.

I was a graphic design major in school, and I needed an internship. I heard about Speedpro Imaging opening up shop – they were a large format print and graphics studio. So, I went over to see what they did there, and how I could fit into it. They needed all their collateral designed, all the usual stuff you need when you’re starting up. From there I got familiar with large format printing, and stayed on after my internship. When the Production Manager was leaving, I phased into the role and ended up working there for about six years. They ended up closing, but at Speedpro I was doing everything – client meetings, design, prepress, execution and installation. I love being part of the process from the beginning to end because I like a mix of duties throughout my work day.

What’s your favorite part of the industry, and makes you excited to come to work every day?

I like that it’s never the same, every day. There’s always critical thinking involved, always a new project and your day is just never the same. I enjoy computer work, design and being creative, and then being able to work with my hands. It’s great seeing the execution afterward and knowing I did all these things in the production process. I love hearing the gratification from clients and how it impacts them when their project is completed.

What are you looking forward to as you join the team here at United?

I’m so excited to join this diverse United team!  I’m looking forward to being able to bring my large format expertise to clients and help them execute their needs from start to finish.

How would you describe yourself?

A balanced multitasker! I am most happy when I’m busy with a variety of different tasks, events and projects in my life.

What’s something we should know about you on a personal level (secret talent, guilty pleasure, something you enjoy or recommend, etc.)?

I’m into self-help books. Is that weird? (Laughs) I used to dance, I danced my whole life. That was my art form. Tap, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, contemporary, lyrical. For me, performance arts are huge. I recently went to a show at the Paramount that was really amazing – Dance This – all these cultural and different types of dance forms. It was a really fun show. And I love live music. Any live music. Anything instrumental with a full band. I’m planning on going to Bumbershoot. I love an event like that where you get to experience new artists and get to know them from watching them play live.
